Judging by the weather, it's hard to tell what season we are in these days. In late November, we were experiencing 70 degree temperatures in New Jersey. Everyone was talking about the summer-like weather we were having in late fall. Some were happy and made certain they were outside to enjoy the sunshine. Others griped and complained that it should be much colder at that time of year. I was remined of Paul, The Apostle who said, we must learn to be content in whatever state we find ourselves in. Phil 4:11 It is very important that we know the season that we are in so we won't get distracted by what we see.
In the Kingdom of God, we don't all experience the same season at the same times. It may be a season of planting for me. Which means that God is instructing me to sew seed and not to make purchases at this time. During this sewing season, I must plant, pay off debt and save; so that when my season changes, I am prepared to reap.
At the same time someone else could be in there reaping season and they are being blessed from every angle. Blessings are coming from everywhere. I must be mature enough to rejoice with that person and at the same time not get distracted from what God has told me. Why? Because my season of reaping is coming!!
We must hold fast to our season until God shifts us into our new season. There is a reason for every season. Even when you think nothing is happing, and the weather is not in agreement with you. You have to be confindent in knowing wherever you are in your life that God has positioned you there. Even though everything is going crazy around you, and the very elements are opposing you and all your friends are being blessed. You must declare, "I will not die in my season, but everything that I do will propser and come to maturity.

To everything there is a season and in time everything will be revealed. I like how the scripture says, "ready to bring forth fruit in its season," because the "bringing forth" is the growing season. Fruit doesn't start out as a mature apple or orange. It starts out as a seed. Through watering and fertilization the seed begins to grow. The more water and fertilizer it receives the juicier and healthier it gets. That is how we are or should be as Christians. We should be watered, fertilized and nourished by the word each day. The more we are in the word the stronger and healthier we get. The stronger and healthier we get the more we begin to develop the fruit which is that of the Holy Spirit which is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, faith, meekness and self-control. The trick is to "stay" in the true vine, which is Jesus. Jesus said, "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing" John 15:5.
