God Keeps His promises

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Heb 10:23

God heard our prayers and the Back 2 School Bash was a success. We had everything that we needed and then some to have a wonderful day. We met families and lots of children. One of the families in particular had two small children and one on the way any day. We learned that they were living in a hotel not to far from the park. They are unfortunate victoms of hurricane Katrina and have been moving from place to place ever since. They frequent the park daily to get the kids out of the mundane hotel room. The love of Jesus was contagious and they were quickly drawn in. Pastor George prayed the sinners prayer with the husband of this small family and he accepted the Lord into his heart.

After meeting them and hearing there story, I knew that the fight that we endured to have the event, and the push I felt all week to give birth to something; was all for them. That's why we must not faint in the midst of our struggle because there is a blessing on the other side of through. I know it is difficult especially when it seems like there is no relief in sight. After you get through one thing there are 10 other challenges facing you. Even in battle there is a time that both sides retreat to tend to there wounds and energize themselves again. The enemy of our souls knows that his time is near so he has intensified his attacks and has become relentless with no time for reprieve.

That's fine, because we are not ignorant concerning his devices we know our enemy and we know in whom we serve. The bible says the weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2Corinths 10:4niv

The word of God pierces through the enemies plans and it cuts through his devices. It does not matter what the devil tries to do to us. The weapon will form, but it will not prosper. For He who has promised is faithful. We must remember that if God said it; it will come to pass. God is not a man, that he should lie,nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? num 23:19

We can stand on the word of God when everything else is passing away. We know that His word, which is His promises, will never pass away. When I am faced with challenges, instead of getting discouraged, I quickly pull out my arsenal in the Word of God and I recall what God said about the situation.

When I'm facing financial trouble: God said, "He would supply all of my needs, according to his riches in glory."

When problems are overwhelming me: God said, "All things work together for good, to them that love the Lord....

When I am feeling defeated: God said "I can do all things."

When I feel all alone: God said, "He would not leave me, neither would He forsake me."

So then let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.

Be blessed.

Jesus is my Valentine

I don't know about you but when I kneel down to pray, God often shows me in a loving way, what He desires for me. This gentle nudging challenges me to examine myself on how I can better align myself with His word.
This morning I heard His sweet voice speak of the patient love that He has for His people. At that moment I asked God for His mercy as I realized that I had fallen short in reflecting that same love just the day before.

As we prepare to endulge in the season of love called Valentine's day, let us take a moment and read 1Corinthians 13 again to ensure we are walking in the obedience of Christ's love daily.

I like the Amplified version:

1 Corinthians 13 1IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God's love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
2And if I have prophetic powers (
the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God's love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).
3Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or
in order that I may glory, but have not love (God's love in me), I gain nothing.
4Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
6It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
7Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
8Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy (
the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].
9For our knowledge is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect), and our prophecy (our teaching) is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect).
10But when the complete and perfect (total) comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away (become antiquated, void, and superseded).
11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; now that I have become a man, I am done with childish ways and have put them aside.
12For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection [of reality as
in a riddle or enigma], but then [when perfection comes] we shall see in reality and face to face! Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been fully and clearly known and understood [[
by God].
13And so faith, hope, love abide [faith--conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God and divine things; hope--joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love--true affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Unexplained Shift!!

This was the CNN Headline after the bridge collapsed into the Mississippi River in August 2007. My spirit leaped within me as it bore witness to the transition that was already taking place in my life. What are you saying Father? Just like the earth has moved seemingly for no reason, I will move the Heaven and the earth on your behalf. The time has come that the last shall be first and the first shall be last. The shift is on! And just as the shifting of the bridge could not be explained, this shift that is taking place now in your life will not be able to be explained. For this will be a quick work, many will see it and not understand, many will see it and want an explanation. Just tell them that it is God, it is I that have done this great work on you behalf.”

This was in August 2007, by November, we where starting Ministry full-time and putting a down payment on a house in Atl GA. On December 28 we moved into our 5 br house. We went from renting to owing in just a few months. And just as God had said, many questioned and could not understand what we were doing. But, my response has been it is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous!! I know this shifting is happening throughout the Body of Christ, if you have experienced the shift, or can witness that you feel a transition, let me know about it.
